Dorothy L. Lutter is the Senior Commercial Officer in the U.S. Embassy Mexico City.

Ms. Lutter previously served as the Minister Counselor for Commercial affairs at the United States Embassy in London since August of 2007. Ms. Lutter has also served at the United States Embassy in Moscow from 2003 to 2007. Prior to Russia, she was posted in Washington, DC from 1999 to 2002 as the Regional Director for the Western Hemisphere for the US & Foreign Commercial Service.

While serving at the US Embassy in London, Ms. Lutter worked diligently to promote the relationship between the US and the UK and the impact that mutual trade and investment have on each countries’ economy. The mutually beneficial relationship has resulted in the creations of millions of jobs between the countries, as well as each country investing hundreds of billions of dollars in each others’ economies. Additionally, Ms. Lutter has worked with a number of programs to encourage sustainable construction equipment and services, a market that has risen sharply in recent years both in the UK and the US.

Ms. Lutter is a board member of the British American Business Council, an organization that further supports strengthening the economic relationship between these two nations.
