Gregory Harris is the Principal Commercial Officer at the American Institute in Taiwan’s (AIT) Kaohsiung Branch Office and concurrently serves as acting Deputy Senior Commercial Officer at AIT in Taipei.
Mr. Harris has previously served American exporters in Shanghai, China, Taipei, Taiwan, and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Over his career, he has been credited with assisting U.S. firms export American products and services valued in the millions of dollars to over 25 foreign markets. He is the recipient of numerous U.S. State Department and U.S. Commerce Department awards for his performance. He has previous Asia experience in the international non-profit and private sectors. He served with the U.S. Air Force in both Japan and Korea.
Mr. Harris received a MA from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle and a BA from the University of New Mexico. He is also an honor graduate in Chinese from the U.S. Defense Language Institute. He is married with two children.
