PYos Harmen started his civil service career in the provincial government investment board as Deputy Director of Investment Monitoring and Controlling in South Sulawesi, followed by positions in BKPM (Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board)as Deputy Director of Monitoring & Evaluation in the Education and Training Centre and Infrastructure Planning in Jakarta.
He later continued at the central level with BKPM and currently heads the BKPM U.S. Office -- IIPC (Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre) in New York. His primarily goal is to establish greater strategic partnership with the U.S. and North America in facilitating, promoting and boosting both outward and inward investment.
He received his undergraduate degree in Town and Country Planning from the InstitutTeknologi Bandung and did post-graduate study in Regional Land Use Planning from ITC, Enschede, TheNetherlands.
