As the Director of International Marketing for UPS, Sean Flaherty designs strategies and programs that help businesses compete in global markets. Sean is passionate about enabling companies to harness growth opportunities overseas and across borders, while mitigating risk and managing the complexities of far-reaching supply chains.

Prior to his current position, Sean spent seven years living in Asia as the Director of Marketing for the South District, UPS Asia Pacific Region. He was responsible for marketing activities in 28 markets across Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. This includes a range of emerging and mature markets, such as Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Today, Sean leverages his experience in Asia -- coupled with his robust knowledge of global trade -- to help businesses export. The opportunity outside of the U.S. is enormous, but many companies struggle with the challenges of how to sell and manage logistics to and from other markets. Sean helps them develop effective export strategies that can grow small companies into big ones, or make big companies more nimble, responsive, and efficient.
