Prior to his current position, Indra Darmawan was the BKPM Director of Sectors Investment Promotion and the Director of Investment Deregulation. He was also BKPM’s Director of Investment Planning for Agriculture and Other Natural Resources. Previously, Darmawan was the Deputy Director of Environment and Deputy Director of National Resources for BAPPENAS. Other positions included working in Corporate Finance at Schroeders, Institutional Dealing at Bankers Tenss, and as General Manager for LIPPO Securities.
Darmawan received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Parahyangan University, Bandung, Indonesia; a MSc in Urban and Regional Planning from the London School of Economics; and a PhD in Regional Planning from Flinders University, Australia.
