Steve Bash is an executive vice president and a division manager within Wells Fargo’s Global Correspondent Banking group based in San Francisco. The group provides trade, payment, cash management, foreign exchange, financial risk management, credit, asset management,investment management and treasury products and services to international financial institutions around the world as well as their branches and subsidiaries in the United States.

He joined Wells Fargo in his current position in 2006 after spending 24 years at Wachovia Bank in Charlotte, N.C. where he held positions in corporate banking, cash management, factoring, project management and international banking.


He was most recently Wachovia’s managing director in the Global Financial Institutions Group with responsibility for the bank’s business in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South Asia as well as the Global Government Banking Division based in Washington D.C. He spent four years as general manager of Wachovia’s branch in Hong Kong specializing in trade services and letter of credit processing.


He received his BA in psychology from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine; and his MBA from Tulane University in New Orleans. He is a past president of the Bankers Association of Finance and Trade and currently serves on its board of directors. He is also a member of the International Financial Conference.


His community involvement includes past member of the board of trustees of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, board of directors of Junior Achivement of Central Carolinas, and past president of the Mecklenburg Aquatic Club in Charlotte. He has also served as an adjunct professor of management at the University of North Carolina,Charlotte.
